Ingredients: Ceylon black tea "Dimbula Elephant", Selim pepper (Xylopia aethiopica), organic cinnamon, organic Damascus rose petal, passion fruit berry (Ruta chalepensis), natural honey flavor, organic coriander seed, kororima seed (Aframomum corrorima).
The tradition of Christmas tea is now centuries old.
Spices, tea and sometimes citrus fruits, compose it. It was in England under the reign of Queen Victoria that the tradition of drinking flavored tea was born.
Russia and Germany are associated with this tradition because it is common to drink mulled wine or spiced tea to protect oneself from the harshness of winter.
In the 1930s, the Temperance League served flavored tea at the
end-of-year celebrations to serve its cause among the working classes: to keep thousands of people away from alcohol consumption.
It was only in 1980 that France discovered Christmas tea marketed for the first time by the "Compagnie Colonniale".
My Christmas tea recipe deserved the beautiful scented leaves of "Dimbula Elephant" tea from Ceylon.
The spices and honey combine with its sweet fruity flavor to offer a bouquet with a powerful fragrance and a velvety taste.
The beautiful leaves of Ceylon tea thus scented provide a pleasant sensation of warmth.
Smell, savor and accept my "Best Wishes" for the new year.
