Ingredients
Cyprus pyramid salt, assortment of organic aromatic plants (wild garlic, organic chives, oregano, sage, basil), organic lovage (Levisticum officinale), coriander leaf.

A bit of history
Humans are believed to have used salt more than 7,000 years ago, and this discovery may have allowed for a new way of preserving food.
Its rarity made it a currency of exchange or remuneration. The word « wage » the Roman "salarium," itself derived from "sal," was the "payment for work or service rendered" given to legionnaires in addition to their wage.
The Celts and Germans knew perfectly how to preserve all kinds of foods, including herring and pork, which we still salt today.
The tradition of flavored salt is more recent. Herbs or aromatic seeds were added to the meals of Swiss or Austrian soldiers on campaign or at war, adding variety to their meals.
These same soldiers passed this recipe on throughout Europe and beyond.
In Bulgaria, "Sharena Sol," or "colored salt," graces dining room tables or flavors dishes. Its color comes from paprika and flavored with spices.

What's in my flavored table salt?
It is with a salt of rare finesse that I was able to create this aromatic table salt: pyramid salt.
It is a salt originating from Lanarka, a seaside and port town on the island of Cyprus. Located west of the city, four lakes of varying sizes form a network that places it second among the island's large salt lakes.
This salt is a marvel of natural geometry with its four-sided pyramid shape.
Its harvest requires exceptional conditions and the ancestral expertise of salt workers. Its quality depends on the high salinity of the water accumulated in the lake in winter, and then, in summer, on good evaporation of the water.
These conditions combined with the expertise of the salt workers create fleur de sel with a light texture and exceptional crunch.

How do I use my pyramid salt with aromatic herbs?
The finesse and delicious crunchiness of the salt are exceptional. For me, it's the most beautiful salt in the world and a natural treasure.
It's at its best on your table at mealtime, available to your guests.
It's a delightful substitute for refined industrial salt by sprinkling it over the food on your plate at the last minute.
Do the same before serving grilled meats or fish. The heat of the food will melt it slightly, and the aromatic plants will reveal their aromas.
Its crunch is ideal on plain cream cheese or topped with crème fraîche. Melt some farmhouse Reblochon under the grill on beautiful slices of bread, sprinkle with the flavored salt, and crunch it all down
